Can You Prepare My Gun Trust While I am Deployed Overseas?

WilliToday, I prepared NFA gun trusts for three different U.S. Army soldiers who were deployed at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, and Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, Cuba. As soon as they sign their gun trust documents at their respective JAG offices, they will be able to order short-barreled rifles and suppressors from an online Class 3 dealer while they are still deployed. The dealer will file the ATF Form 4 applications, and the ATF will begin processing the applications. If they are home by the time the ATF applications are approved, they will be able to pick up their NFA firearms from the dealer. If the dealer receives an ATF tax stamp before they come home, another trustee (such as a wife, father, mother, brother, or sister) will be able to pick up the NFA firearms.

I have prepared NFA gun trusts for Texas residents while they were deployed in five out of the seven continents. I’m still waiting on some Texas residents who are deployed in South America and Antarctica!
