Can your law firm assist with private party NFA transfers?

Yes, we can. Our law firm can prepare ATF Form 4 applications to transfer NFA firearms from one private party to another. In Texas, you do not need to do this through a Class 3 dealer.

For example, if you have a machine gun collection that is registered to you individually, and you would like to transfer them into a gun trust so your family members can also use them or for estate planning purposes, or you want to sell them to a third party, our law firm can prepare the ATF Form 4 applications and make sure they are done correctly.

April 13, 2015 - Jim Willi testified on the floor of the Texas Senate in support of SB 473, clarifying the right to possess NFA firearms, and SB 476, requiring CLEOs in Texas to sign ATF paperwork within 15 days. Both bills were approved by the Senate Committee the next day.
